Everyone’s an honorary Irishman (or Irishwoman) on St. Patrick’s Day. So here’s a photo gallery of some of our favorite L.A. Times Test Kitchen recipes to help you celebrate. Start out with some of Muldoon’s whisky-marinated wings or some beer-battered rock shrimp with a honey-mustard dipping sauce. We’ve got plenty of classics -- corned beef and cabbage, of course, and traditional buttermilk Irish soda bread. But we’ve got a few twists as well.
Like corned beef in bourbon-and-brown sugar sauce. And lemon-lime blueberry soda bread.
If you’ve saved room for dessert, we have bread pudding drizzled with a whisky-caramel sauce. For the calorie conscious, we have a mint cream dream.
And there’s even a recipe for a traditional half-and-half pint.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
