From 1950 to 1985, Architectural Pottery set the standard for modern planters and decorative ceramic sculpture for homes and gardens. Though some of the company’s designs have been reissued, purists will be happy to learn that original pieces from back in the day are on sale for up to 50% off at Ten 10 in Silver Lake. With these reductions, the vintage pieces are priced lower than the less-collectible new versions. The photo shows a black chalice by Malcolm Leland that had been $700 and is now $350. La Gardo Tackett’s orange pot is reduced from $225 to $120, and his sought-after 25-inch unglazed bisque double cone, once $2,200, is now $1,200.
