A 60-year-old man was arrested Monday of suspicion of killing his wife and leaving her body in an abandoned car in a Hawaiian Gardens casino parking lot, authorities said.
Tomas Infante was arrested after investigators served a search warrant early Monday at his West Covina home and allegedly found evidence connecting him to his wife’s slaying, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.
The body of his wife, Charlita Tolentino, 57, was found in the vehicle. She lived in West Covina with her husband and their 17-year-old daughter, authorities said.
The department said in a statement that Infante killed his wife at their home and then drove the body to the casino. He was being held at County Jail in lieu of $1-million bail.
