Trainer Jeff Mullins has been given a seven-day suspension, effective May 3, and fined $2,500 by the New York State Racing and Wagering Board after reportedly being observed administering an over-the-counter medication with a syringe to one of his horses in the Aqueduct security barn on April 4.
The suspension will begin the day after the Mullins-trained I Want Revenge is scheduled to race in the May 2 Kentucky Derby.
