Dodgers: Sherrill undergoes MRI exam, Kuroda throws a bullpen session

DENVER -- Manager Joe Torre’s reason for not summoning George Sherrill in the 10th inning of the Dodgers’ loss on Tuesday night was that Sherrill was unavailable because of tightness in his abdominal area.

Sherrill threw today and underwent an MRI exam that came back negative. He has been cleared to pitch tonight.

Hiroki Kuroda threw a bullpen session today and reported no problems.

‘Considering how long it’s been, it felt as normal as possible,’ he said.
