Dodgers promote three players; DFA Jamie Hoffmann

On the day major-league teams could expand their active rosters, the Dodgers called up left-hander Scott Elbert, catcher A.J. Ellis and outfielder Jason Repko.

Triple-A outfielder Jamie Hoffmann was designated for assignment to clear a spot on the 40-man roster.

Hoffmann, 25, batted .182 with a home run and seven runs batted in in 14 games with the Dodgers this season.
