Winnetka: Martin Mendez, 32

Martin Mendez, a 32-year-old Latino, died Sunday, Sept. 13, after he was assaulted and suffered head trauma at Saticoy Street and Winnetka Avenue in Winnetka, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s officials.
Mendez was attacked outside a bar about 12:40 a.m. and taken to a hospital, where he died at 1:25 a.m., said Ed Winter, a spokesman for the coroner’s office.
