Luis Eduardo Perez, a 15-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Monday, Dec. 7, in the 2100 block of East Cesar Chavez Avenue in Boyle Heights, authorities said.
Ed Winter, a spokesman for the coroner’s office, said Perez was standing near a bus stop when someone walked up to him and shot him several times.
The shooting happened about 7:30 a.m. and he was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead 10 minutes later. Police are calling the killing gang-related.
