Running backs Milton Knox of Birmingham, pictured left, Darrell Scott of St. Bonaventure and Ryan Bass of Corona Centennial are three of the six Southland players named to the Parade All-America high school football team, which will appear in Sunday’s edition of the national magazine.

Also named to the team were quarterback Dayne Crist of Sherman Oaks Notre Dame, pictured right; and linemen Matt Kalil of Servite and Tyron Smith of Rancho Verde.

Crist has verbally committed to Notre Dame. Kalil and Smith have verbally commited to USC. Knox has verbally committed to UCLA. Bass has verbally committed to Arizona State. And Scott, Parade’s running back of the year, remains uncommited. National signing day is Feb. 6.

A total of 58 seniors from 24 states were named to the 45th annual team, which is headed by the magazine’s player of the year, quarterback Terrelle Pryor of Jeannette, Pa. He has scholarship offers from coast-to-coast with, according to Parade writer Michael O’Shea, ‘Florida, Michigan, Ohio State, Oregon and Penn State at the top of his list.’
