Boys’ volleyball: El Camino Real to make championship match debut

For the first time, El Camino Real will be playing for a City Section Championship Division boys’ volleyball title.

The ninth-seeded Conquistadores overcame a bumpy performance in Game 1 and went on to sweep fourth-seeded host Sylmar, 26-24, 25-23, 25-21, in the semifinals Tuesday night.

El Camino Real will play the winner of the Granada Hills-Palisades match in the title match at 5 p.m. Saturday at Cal State Northridge.
