Boys’ basketball: Windward maintains lead

SACRAMENTO _ Los Angeles Windward’s 18-point halftime lead has been cut to 50-38 entering the fourth quarter of the state Division V boys’ championship game against Alameda St. Joseph Notre Dame.

Some sloppy play by Windward enabled St. Joseph to gain a boost, combined with the Pilots hitting from three-point range.

Wesley Saunders has scored 16 points for Windward. Anthony Stover has 13 points and Darius Morris 12 points.
