In 1981, Onno Zwaneveld was a former high school band member who became an All-City lineman at Canoga Park and went on to play for three Rose Bowl teams at UCLA.
His son, Brendan, chose a different sport at North Hollywood Harvard-Westlake, water polo, and the 6-foot-2, 200-pound senior has committed to his father’s alma mater, UCLA.
There’s another Zwaneveld sibling also excelling in water polo at Harvard-Westlake, Alec, a sophomore.
The proud father said, ‘As a parent, it’s a great feeling seeing one of your kids walk in your footsteps.’
