There’s talk at USC of making freshman receiver Robert Woods from Gardena Serra a two-way player. Woods has been a standout at receiver and now he could play a little at defensive back.
Can Woods play defense?
That’s like asking if a duck likes water.
As a senior, he had eight interceptions at free safety. As a junior he had seven interceptions. As a sophomore, he had eight interceptions.
‘I’d take him back,’ Serra Coach Scott Altenberg said. ‘He has a great knack for being where the ball is.’
