Football: Girl kicker gets 43-yard field goal

A kicker from Akron, Ohio, Alana Gaither, may have set a record for longest field goal by a girl when she made the kick from 43 yards for Firestone High School.

Update: The national record by a girl kicker is held by Heidi Garrett of Riverside King. She kicked a 48-yard field goal in 2004.
