Los Angeles Loyola has a 20-13 lead over Mission Viejo Capistrano Valley heading into the second quarter of the Southern Section Division 1A championship game at the Anaheim Convention Center.

Joe Stein has scored seven points and Julian Harrell has four to lead the Cubs. Aleks Lipovic, Nick Thomas and Stephen Short each have three points for Capistrano Valley.
