PATERSON, N.J. — A man has been charged with shooting his 18-year-old daughter to death with a sawed-off shotgun less than three days before she was scheduled to charge him in court with sexually assaulting her, officials said.
William McCullum, 38, was charged by a Passaic County grand jury with murdering his daughter, Mona, in her Paterson apartment Dec. 7 as her 2-week-old daughter lay in bed beside her, an assistant prosecutor, John Laky, said. The baby was not injured.
McCullum, who was being held without bail, could face the death penalty if convicted of murder.
