Chapman Women’s Team Ranked No. 1

The Chapman College women’s basketball team is ranked first in the NCAA Division 2 women’s basketball poll. The Panthers (11-2) received four first-place votes and had a total of 154 points--15 ahead of Florida International.
Eight voters are on the NCAA Division 2 Women’s Basketball Committee, which released its first Division 2 basketball poll of the season Tuesday.
Other area teams in the top 20 include Cal Poly Pomona, 11th place with 82 points, and Cal State Dominguez Hills, 18th place with 33 points.
