Group Set to Discuss North Coast Growth

CARDIFF — A North Coast organization concerned with development in the area from Del Mar to Oceanside will hold its first meeting at 7 o’clock tonight at Cardiff Elementary School.
The new group, called COMMUNITY, is concerned with the increasing development occurring along the coast, and seeks to aid individuals and organizations attempting to protect the region’s quality of life.
The most critical factor in recent growth, according to Michael Goldstein, one of the organizers, is the increased housing density governments are allowing in new developments. COMMUNITY is being formed to fight that trend, he said.
