First Phase Completed at Newport Beach Inn

The first phase of a two-year, $35-million expansion project at the Newport Beach Marriott & Tennis Club has been completed with the official opening of a three-story, 574-car underground parking garage.
Scheduled for completion in early 1986, a 15-story, 226-room tower will bring the total number of guest rooms at the Marriott to 602. Other expansion work will include an additional swimming pool, a new health club and spa, and a 5,500-square-foot ballroom.
