Local News in Brief : Simi Valley Man Dies as Truck Crashes on Off-Ramp Curve

A 37-year-old Simi Valley man was killed Friday night when the pickup truck he was driving on the Simi Valley Freeway crashed on an off-ramp curve, authorities said.
Terry Jacobsen was traveling west on the freeway at 55 m.p.h. when his truck entered the Reseda Boulevard off-ramp, hit a curb and overturned at approximately 8:45 p.m., said Officer Gerald Rico of the California Highway Patrol.
Jacobsen was pronounced dead at the scene, Rico said.
