Fire Service Awards, Exhibit: The International Assn. of Fire Chiefs has deemed Saturday Fire Service Recognition Day. The Orange County Fire Department will have Firefighter of the Year Awards ceremonies in six fire stations. Those to be honored include a career firefighter, a paid-call firefighter and a civilian who has added to the efficiency of the department routinely or at the scene of an emergency. Emergency equipment, including fire engines, ladder trucks, paramedic and heavy rescue units and the Orange County Sheriff’s helicopter, will be exhibited between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. in the Mission Viejo Mall parking lot.
