Women protesters picketed the New York Times, demanding that, among other changes, the newspaper drop the titles “Miss” and “Mrs.” as discriminatory against women. About 25 demonstrators from an organization called Feminists Fighting Pornography protested in what Page Mellish, who spoke for the group, said was “a campaign going on since the 1970s.”
