Dana Hills High Is First in Preliminaries

Dana Hills High placed first in the preliminaries of the Southern Section girls’ gymnastics championships held at Dana Hills on Wednesday.
The Dolphins scored 176.50 points to advance to the finals at Cal Poly Pomona on Wednesday. Also qualifying for the championship was defending Southern Section champion Arroyo (175.63) and Palos Verdes (173.30).
Fountain Valley (163.15) was fourth, Costa Mesa (146.75) fifth and Westminster was sixth.
