The fifth-seeded team of Linda Howell and Cynthia MacGregor of San Diego State lost to third-seeded Leigh Ann Eldredge and Linda Gates of Stanford, 6-4, 6-3, in the quarterfinals of the NCAA individual tennis championships Thursday at Oklahoma City.
