Los Angeles’ Recreation and Parks Department is building a 150-foot-long, 10-foot-high fence along the fairway of the eighth hole of Roosevelt Golf Course in Griffith Park, much to the delight of Barney Feldman, who lives nearby and has complained of golf balls bombarding his backyard. Feldman, who filed a $1-million suit against the city last February, said he is “very pleased” and may drop the legal action, in which he alleged that he suffered “discomfort, annoyance and mental distress” from errant shots by golfers.
