Universal Studios reorganized its fast-growing music department Wednesday, naming three new vice presidents.
They are Burt Berman, music creative affairs for Universal Pictures; Brendan Cahill, music creative affairs for Universal Television and Home Entertainment, and Jeff Sydney, music business affairs, Universal Filmed Entertainment.
In its announcement, the Universal City-based company said the move reflects the department’s expansion into television and film and the growing home-video market. Universal’s music department has been involved in the TV series “Miami Vice” and the film “Back to the Future.”
