The City Council asked the staff to draft a report on banning regular helicopter landings at Santa Monica Hospital. Two helicopters landed at the hospital in the past week. Residents have complained that the helicopter landings are unsafe, noisy and unnecessary. The hospital has said that helicopters land only in emergencies.
