AT&T; runs the largest computer operation in the country, according to a ranking released by Information Week, a weekly magazine for computer users in large organizations. The poll ranks the 100 largest computer users in the United States by the current dollar value of their installed equipment and marks the first attempt by any publication to rank computer users by size. In addition to AT&T;, the top 10 companies include: General Motors, General Electric, GTE Corp., United Technologies, ITT Corp., Sears, Westinghouse Electric, Ford Motor and J. C. Penney.
