Uniroyal Inc. reported a third-quarter loss of $3 million, including a $5-million gain from discontinued operations. A year earlier, the tire maker posted a profit of $25 million. Uniroyal said the 1984 third-quarter results included an after-tax gain of $19 million from the sale of its polymer business.
