Sexon and Boryla Will Be Inducted Into Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame

INDIANAPOLIS — Butler University coach Joe Sexson and Vince Boryla, the general manager of the Denver Nuggets of the National Basketball Assn., are among 10 men who will be inducted into the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame in March.
Sexson, the 1952 Indiana Mr. Basketball from Indianapolis Tech, played three years at Purdue and was the Boilermakers’ team captain and most valuable player in 1956. He was assistant coach at Purdue before going to Butler as head coach.
He was a member of the Hall of Fame’s 1977 Silver Anniversary team.
Boryla, a 1944 graduate of East Chicago (Ind.) Washington High School, played at Notre Dame in 1945-46. After military service, he attended the University of Denver and was a member of the U.S. Olympic team in 1948 and an Associated Press first-team All-American in 1949.
Boryla played six years with the NBA New York Knicks.
