Local News in Brief : Missing Father, Son Turn Up Unharmed

An all-night search by sheriff’s deputies ended after a missing Sylmar man and his young son returned home unharmed Sunday morning.
Sgt. John Broussard, a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department spokesman, said Edward Parsons, 22, and his son, Edward, 2, set out Saturday morning to test a new dune buggy in Texas Flats, a wilderness area north of the Santa Clarita Valley. When they failed to return by 8:30 that night, the boy’s mother called police.
