Arcadia : School Land Up for Sale

The Board of Education has authorized the sale or lease of property at 41 California St., and has asked Keyser Marston Associates Inc., a Los Angeles firm, to prepare marketing materials at a cost not to exceed $12,000. The 48,000-square-foot lot just east of Santa Anita Avenue houses several small buildings used by the district for storage as well as six single-room dwellings occupied by renters.
John Nelson, assistant superintendent for business services, said the district has not set a minimum price on the property, and is waiting to see whether the property is leased or sold before deciding how proceeds will be spent.
