Kirov Ballet Coming to L.A.

WASHINGTON — The famed Kirov Ballet will visit the United States from May 21-June 5 as a direct outgrowth of the cultural exchange agreement signed during the U.S.-Soviet summit in Geneva last November, the White House announced today.

The Leningrad troupe will perform at Wolf Trap Farm Park outside Washington, in Philadelphia and Los Angeles on its first visit to the United States since 1964. The dates for the Los Angeles appearance, the first, are May 21-26.
