Eager to advance its development of military computers, an Israeli manufacturer has purchased a 51% interest in Tasco Electronic Services of Anaheim.
Terms of the purchase by Rada Electronic Industries Ltd. of Israel were not disclosed.
Tasco is a privately held firm, primarily engaged in research, which also develops and manufactures a small number of military computer parts. Shabtay Tal, president of Tasco, said the purchase could double the size of his present 15-person work force to 30 employees within one year.
“Instead of being an engineering firm, we’ll become more of a production house,” Tal said.
