Solicitor for Labor Dept. Will Be Named by Reagan

WASHINGTON — President Reagan announced Thursday his intention to nominate George R. Salem to be solicitor for the Labor Department. Salem, 35, has been serving as deputy solicitor of the Labor Department. He would succeed Francis X. Lilly.
