ON THE TOWN: Paging Bruce Springsteen fans. If Hollywood’s Boss Club is just too hip for you, you can dance to the Boss and watch him in action at Footsie’s, a new Pasadena nightspot that on Thursday nights becomes the Thunder Road Club. The club features Springsteen music, beginning at 9 p.m., plus Boss music videos, concert footage and interviews. Fans get 50 cents off the cover charge if they bring a can of food, which is donated to the Steelworkers Oldtimers Food Bank. The 21-and-over club is located at 34 N. Mentor Ave., next to the Ice House. . . . Meanwhile, the Alarm is planning a concert video release that should break the record for shortest elapsed time between an event and its home-video incarnation. The band is headlining an outdoor concert April 12 at UCLA, which will be broadcast live on MTV and video outlets in 15 other countries. A video of the show, titled “Spirit of ‘86” (after the group’s new single), is due out May 5 as the debut home-video release on the new IRS Video label.
