Dan L. McCoy Installed as Contractors Assn. Leader

Don L. McCoy, president of McCoy Construction Co. of Woodland Hills, has been installed as the 13th president of the Southern California Contractors Assn., succeeding Dan Grandpre of Grandpre Concrete Inc. in Sun Valley.
He was also presented with the association’s Contractor-of-the-Year Award, and Mal M. Packer, chief airports engineer of the Los Angeles Department of Airports, received the VIP Award, a new honor bestowed by the Contractors Assn. on public officials.
The two men were honored at a dinner-dance installation at the Bonaventure hotel. Other officers include James Sprinkel of Vernon Paving Co., Anaheim, vice president; Terry Peterson of A. C. Peterson Co. Inc., Downey, secretary, and George B. Cooke of G. B. Cooke Inc. of Azusa, treasurer.
New members of the association’s board of directors are Don MacIntosh of A. L. MacIntosh Co., Pico Rivera; Bob Keith, Sully-Miller Contracting Co., Long Beach; LeRoy McAfee, McAfee Construction Inc., Lakewood; Rick Kalish, K-West Engineering and Grading, Sun Valley, and James Gasparo, Best Western Paving Co., Pomona.
Felix Dupuy, Y Tire Sales, Alhambra, is a new affiliate director, and alternates are Dan Ugalde, Ugalde Trucking Co. Inc., Anaheim, and Spence Scheid, Spence Equipment Co., Ventura. Doyle Woods, Homer Mann Trucking Sun Valley, was appointed allied director.
Al H. Atwood of Hawthorne will remain as executive vice president, a position he has held since the association was established in 1974.
