WARNER SPRINGS — The skeletal remains of a human body were found in a field between Warner Springs and Santa Isabel Wednesday morning, coroner’s deputies reported.
Deputy Coroner Cal Vine said he did not know if the remains was that of a man or a woman, or how long it had been in the hilly, open area about 213 feet east of California 79, a quarter of a mile south of Golden Hill Boulevard. A man whose car broke down nearby found the remains about noon, deputies said.
Forensic pathologists were to investigate today. The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department homicide team was investigating.
