Chapman Win Clinches Conference Tennis Title

Chapman College’s men’s tennis team clinched the California Collegiate Athletic Assn. championship Sunday, beating Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, 6-3.
Chapman is 9-1 in the conference, 18-9 overall.
In Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. action:
University of the Pacific 5, Cal State Fullerton 4--The Tigers’ Skip Horan defeated Brian Barrone, 5-7, 6-0, 6-3, in the No. 6 singles, which proved to be the deciding match.
Fullerton (0-5, 2-16) got wins from No. 4 singles, Wayne Dennen, and No. 5 singles, Kevin Joe. Dennen and Joe also won in No. 2 doubles.
