Mexico City Fare: New Fuel for Buses

MEXICO CITY — A mixture of diesel fuel and natural gas will be used by 120 city buses as a start toward decreasing choking pollution in the capital, city officials say.
Based on tests completed two years ago, they decided to convert the buses to use 96% diesel fuel combined with 4% natural gas to reduce exhaust smoke. The conversion will be completed over the next two months.
