Laguna Niguel : Community Council to Welcome New Members
- Share via
The Community Council will have two new members when it meets on April 28: Ingrid McGuire, a housewife and member of the South Coast Water District board, and Burt Meyers, a business owner and president of the Laguna Niguel Chamber of Commerce.
McGuire and Meyers won at-large council seats during a communitywide election last week. Although residents had seven days to vote--including weekend balloting at local supermarkets--only 869 did, representing 7% of the community’s registered voters.
Johanne Gibson (District 6), Bruce Rasner (District 8) and Bruce Tunnell (at large) were all reelected to the 15-member council, which acts as an advisory body to the county Board of Supervisors and Planning Commission.
