Master’s Loses in Baseball, 6-3

Pitcher Robert Mansfield held The Master’s College in check for six-plus innings, and Steve Overeem picked up a save in relief as Southern California College defeated the Mustangs, 6-3, Wednesday.
Mansfield (3-1) held The Master’s scoreless until the fifth inning, when Matt MacArthur hit a three-run homer. Overeem came on in the seventh and finished the nonconference game.
Brian Wilson was the loser for The Master’s. MacArthur finished 2 for 4, and teammate Kurt Thielen was 2 for 4 with a double.
