The Los Angeles County registrar-recorder’s office at 5557 Ferguson Drive, City of Commerce, will be open today between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. to receive absentee ballots from voters who go to the office in person, said spokeswoman Marcia Ventura.
For those who have not yet obtained an absentee ballot for Tuesday’s election, Ventura said that only voters who can show they will be unable to vote at their assigned precincts may pick up a ballot application. Ventura said that generally, these would be people who are hospitalized, have a physical disability or are required to be out of town on Election Day. People representing those with health-related problems may make the application, she said.
She said the deadline has passed for people who are able to appear personally at their polling places.
