Bass Hits 4 Consecutive Homers in Japan

TOKYO — The Yokohama Taiyo Whales beat the Hanshin Tigers, 7-4, Sunday as the Tigers’ Randy Bass, formerly with the Texas Rangers, tied a Japanese League record by hitting home runs in four consecutive at bats. He hit two home runs in his last two at bats Saturday and two homers in his first two at bats Sunday.
Bass was the 12th player to achieve the feat in Japanese baseball.
