Knudsen sold two Northern California milk plants.

The troubled Los Angeles dairy said a federal bankruptcy court judge approved the $9.5-million sale of Knudsen milk plants in Lemoore and Hughson to Leprino Foods, a Denver-based company that is a major producer of mozzarella cheese. Knudsen, which filed for Chapter 11 protection in September, has already sold most of its California properties to Kraft and Hughes Markets for about $78 million. Knudsen said that Leprino will sell the Hughson butter and milk plant to California Cooperative Creamery, a Petaluma dairy cooperative.
