Los Alamitos : Man Ignores Red Light, Killed by Pickup Truck

A Seal Beach man was struck and killed by a pickup truck Thursday night while trying to cross a street against a red light, police said.
Gilles Albert Piche, 46, was walking north across Cerritos Avenue just west of the Los Alamitos Boulevard intersection about 8 p.m. when the truck hit him, throwing him about 75 feet, Police Sgt. Reed Gloshen said.
Witnesses told police that he was crossing against a red light, Gloshen said.
The driver was not cited.
