Tractor-Trailer Rig Overturns on Busy I-5

An accident involving an overturned 18-wheel tractor-trailer blocked northbound rush-hour traffic Friday evening on Interstate 5 from the San Onofre scales in northern San Diego County to Avenida Pico in San Clemente, the California Highway Patrol said.
There were at least four other accidents in the area during rush hour, a dispatcher said: Officers “have been rushing from one accident to another.”
There were at least three injuries, the dispatcher said, and the unidentified victims were taken to Mission Community Hospital in Mission Viejo and San Clemente General Hospital.
