Garden State Park, which lost approximately $16 million in its harness meeting last year, asked for permission to end its current meeting early because of recurring financial losses.
The harness meet was scheduled to run through Dec. 20, but the New Jersey track asked the New Jersey Racing Commission for permission to close at the conclusion of the card on Nov. 15.
