Romeo Bowls 209, 222 to Finish 4th at Open

Robin Romeo of Van Nuys finished fourth at the $30,000 L.A. Open bowling tournament Saturday in Anaheim.
Ahead of her were Betty Morris of Stockton, Nikki Gianulias of Vallejo and Jeanne Maiden of Solon, Ohio. Romeo defeated fifth-place finisher Cindy Coburn, 209-193, in her first match of the finals, but was eliminated when Morris edged her, 244-222, in the second round.
Morris won $5,000 and Romeo was awarded $1,250.
