“Howard the Duck” is about to hit Europe--under a pseudonym.
In England, the mega-bomb will be titled “Howard: A New Breed of Hero.” Italy and Portugal will know the film as “Howard and the Fate of the World.” They’re still deciding on how to title the film in other European territories and in Latin America. What is known is that “Superhero” will be used.
Asked for a comment, a Universal rep would only say, “Oh, pleeeeeze. . . .”
